We are so enshrined with our civilisation's "thruths" that we are almost uncapable to distinguish between facts and fiction, have troubles spotting false interpretations and have a nasty tendency to jump to conclusions not reallly understanding what kind of problems we are facing. Put on top of that also that the reasoning is quite often based on the things we take for granted. Unfortunately, these granted things, that we are even not aware of, are quite often - simply wrong.
